The Breakwater  Analogy

Day after day, waves buffet the beach in a harbor, often gently yet sometimes forcibly, changing the shoreline through the constant erosion. Over time, the beachhead takes on a much different look, and both the structures and industries that were built upon the coast become unstable.

A defense was created to protect shorelines and create safe harbors: a Breakwater. These bulkheads  stand between the shores and the strongest waves, beating down the swells that would otherwise erode the beach, the breakwater can be either a flexible, floating dock or an unbending bulwark. Regardless of their construction, they create a harbor that is safe from costal erosion.

Waves of change are inevitable and they affect businesses as well. One of the highest impact change agents in our economic environment is technology.
